Music for Blue Days

In 2008 I wrote a quartet (vln, cello, piano and percussion) called Blue Fragments. In this piece I used a little theme as a ritornello. This piece was premiered in january 2009.

Later that year I got a request if I could write a piece for tuba and harp, and I wanted to use the theme again. This time more like a calm tune, like "music for blue days". The Norwegian tuba virtuoso Eirik Gjerdevik did the first performance of the piece in Bergen in 2010 with Johannes Wik from Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra playing the harp.
